CeBIT Asia
An annual international trade fair for information
and technology; CeBIT Asia 2005 ran from 11th til 14th May in the
Shanghai New International Expo Centre in China.
CeBIT Asia - Impressions
This year's trade fair saw over 443 exhibitors from
18 countries taking part. Among the pavilions set up were the German
Pavilion, Korean Pavilion, Taiwan Pavilion and Slovenia Pavilion.
Also present were companies from Malaysia, Indonesia
and Singapore. Other participants included T-Systems, eBay China
and six of China's biggest banks.
All in all, the fair attracted 53, 297 trade visitors
and 612 journalists.

Reception at the German Consulate
A reception was hosted by the German Consulate, to
which Matthew Wang of eye square's partner firm MAP in Shanghai,
and Qin Wan of ISAR in Beijing were invited.

eye square was part of the German Pavilion's Research
& Technology section.

eye square's research and expertise in the fields
of retail, advertising and usability, and the introduction of its
latest eye tracking software, Visualizer 3.0 generated huge excitement
among trade visitors, particularly those with economics and research
backgrounds.
Our booth was also honored by Malaysia's Minister
of Science, Technology and Innovation, Dato' Jamaludin Jais.
Some of eye square's pending projects are with companies
and universities from China, Korea, Malaysia and Indonesia.

As part of the fair's lecture series, Sabrina Duda
presented her paper ''Eye Tracking in Real and Virtual Worlds -
New Methods in Market Research". The lecture was consecutively
translated in Mandarin.
